Reported from Kat O and Sham Chung, near brackish waters. A game fish, attracting recreational anglers during winter time (Ref. 128523). Juveniles also reported from Starfish Bay and Kei Ling Ha Lo Wai (Ref. 125515). The species was observed on 11 to 100 occasions during 400 dive surveys on artificial reefs (Ref. 119494). Enter brackish areas, eventually rivers and streams. Reported from streams at Tai Ho and Chi Ma Wan Peninsula in Lantau Island (Ref. 129476). Sold in live fish markets. Caught via trawling (Ref. 125552). Commonly consumed in Hong Kong (Ref. 125589). Also Ref. 94637, 125536.
